Derrick B. Lockwood
Derrick B. Lockwood earned his undergraduate degree with a major in History and minor in Religious studies and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Troy State University.
As an educator and community leader for the past 36 years, Rev. Lockwood has served in a variety of youth and mentoring capacities in the Atlanta and Asheville community. He formerly served as Head of School for New City Christian School; Boards of Directors of KIPP: Achieve Preparatory Academy; The Andre P. Stewart Center; Odyssey Board of Advisers at The Westminster Schools; National Program Committee Board member for A Better Chance. Currently, he serves as Board Chair Emeritus of PAWKids Atlanta, an inner city after school program for at risk youth.
Rev. Lockwood has been an active member of the Leadership of Atlanta (2009) and Leadership of DeKalb (2003). Rev. Lockwood is the founder and president of Connecting Local Resources with Global Needs and the founder and president of Derrick B. Lockwood Ministries where he is committed to seeing souls won to Jesus Christ.
